In the various workshops and classes, such as painting, music, dance and mime, which are open for all, particularly for marginalized groups, the students discover their creativity. These classes are desperately needed in Nicaragua which is one of the poorest countries of the world and where the schools hardly offer alternatives for cultural education.Above all, however, the experiences the students can have here help broaden their minds and offer them alternatives to drugs, crime and poverty, shaping them into independent persons who are able to take charge of themselves.
promotion of intercultural exchange
Due to its cross-cultural activities, the foundation also promotes intercultural exchange in Central America and with other countries. Only by this cultural exchange and mutual understanding people can overcome prejudice, xenophobia and hostility and develop respect for their differences. International festivals for example, or a jointly organized trade like a film or book-fair, are examples of events that support reconciliation.
