LOCREO presents: International Theatre Day 2008

On the occasion of the International Theatre Day participants of the Project "Cultura, Localidad y Creatividad" performed full of enthusiasm and pride in front of the Casa de los Tres Mundos. Dozens of children and young people entertained the audience with songs, dance and theatre performances. The viewers were really swept of their feets.

IV. Poetry Festival in Granada

Between 11. and 16. february 2008 Granada was host city for the IV. International Poetry Festival. The event was again a celebration of poetry and culture with over one hundred poets from all over the world participating.

Lanza: Computer classes for small businesses started

THE ZONA FRANCA - CHANCE OR EXPLOITATION?

On August 21 the inauguration of the exposition "Tipitapa en las Zonas Francas" (Tipitapa in Export Processing Zones) will take place in Managua. The Institute of History of Nicaragua and Central America (IHNCA) of the University of Central America (UCA) will be the second of four centres to host the exhibition in Nicaragua. The exhibition will stay in Managua till 1st of September. More information:

On August 2nd the inauguration of the exposition "Tipitapa en las Zonas Francas" (Tipitapa in Export Processing Zones) will take place in Granada. The Casa de los Tres Mundos will be the first of four centres to host the exhibition, which will tour to Managua, Estelí and León.

CINEMA VIDEOTECA DEL SUR

TIPITAPA EN LAS ZONAS FRANCAS

The exhibition "Tipitapa en las Zonas Francas" features information on life in Tipitapa, Nicaragua and work in the country's export processing zones. It will be held at the Latin American Institute in Vienna beginning on April 21 to May 14, and will be presented later at various locations in Austria, Germany, Nicaragua and the United States.

The School of Performing Arts travels to San José

A group of participants of the Project Finlandia "Cultura, Localidad y Creatividad" of the Casa de los Tres Mundos, will travel to San José/ Costa Rica on January 26. They will participate in the third festival and fifth regional meeting of this project.

Countries that will be represented are: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua. The delegation of Nicaragua under direction of the the School of Performing Arts of the Casa de los Tres Mundos, will present "El Cartel y sus Sones" - a musical play which was developed within the Project Finlandia.

FIRST DONATED COMPUTERS INSTALLED

Música en los Barrios, a Casa de los Tres Mundos-associated music-teaching project in Managua, received three of the fifteen computers donated by Austrians.
