Tidings of LOCREO

From 2003 to 2007 LOCREO was financed by the finnish government. This fertile cooperation enabled multifaceted, cultural activities and offers (music, dance, theatre, art) for children and adolescents from the poorer, outlying districts of Granada and the surrounding, rural areas. Apart from the local encouragement, a cultural exchange between other countries in centralamerica, in which the finnish government supported similar projects, was achieved. Every year a great presentation with all participating countries was celebrated and every semester artistic festivals were realised.

In Nicaragua this project has the possibility to continue with the same objective. Making benefit of the experiences of the last years, the work in the "Barrios" and the rural areas can continue. In this regions the people normally don't have access to cultural offers, which however are necessary for the formation of prospective citizens. The Foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos along with Pan y Arte reached the financing of the project for the future. This way the exeptional experiences of all participants can be continued and the achievement can be manifested.
