Biography of David Salomon Jarquín: David Salomón Jarguín was born in Nicaragua in 1986 as the youngest of nine children. With seven years his father, a professional trombonist, sent him to the "Casa de los Tres Mundos" for a musical education. There he learned to play piano and trumpet. Already after a short time Guido Fröhlich, a member of Embrassy, became alert of Davids notable talent for the trumpet. Therefore he regularly supervised his lessons through his teacher in Granada, Danilo Arauz, and managed to organise a Pan-y-Arte-Scholarship in Germany. When David was eleven years old he was a solist in the National Orchestra of Nicaragua. 2001 he appeared as a solist with Haydn's Trumpetconcert at a tour through Germany and 2002 he was the first trumpeter in the Youth Orchestra of the Americas under Kurt Masur and Leonard Slatkin. 2003 he won the 1. prize of the competition "Jugend Musiziert" in Germany with the highest possible score. It was followed by the "Europäischer Förderpreis 2003" by the cultural foundation "Pro Europa" in Luzern. Two years later, by this time student of Max Sommerhalder at the renowned conservatory in Detmold, the 18-year old wins as the most youngest participant the 1. prize at the german Academy Competition 2005 in Hamburg. Since this time, among experts, he is known to be one of the most promising trumpettalents all over the world. Maurice André invites him to an exclusive tutorial and is thrilled. In april 2008 David Salomón Jarquín was hired as a solotrumpeter by the Radiophilharmonics Hannover (NDR). With the brassensemble Embrassy David continously performs as a solist and produced his first Solo-CD "Cascadas"
