The project exists because of foreign donations only. Unfortunately there is not a lot of help for cultural projects in Nicaragua and it is difficult to receive support of the government.

Therefore we are dependent on Your help . With only 150 $ a month we can open a new Barrio and give a musical access to another 48 children.

Our new project , the training and further education of our pupils and teachers, needs your help. With only 25 $ we can educate another pupil or teacher. Thus we can pass another step to guarantee musical education in the future in Nicaragua.

Volunteers help in "Música en los Barrios"

Since 2003 European volunteers come and work in "Música en los Barrios". During their stay of one year the support the project in different areas. Depending of their individual ability, volunteers are giving dance or music lessons and they are supporting the organization of the project.

A Movie about "Música en los Barrios"
