Biography

My name is Camila Pineda Jaugey. I was born on Corcega, a french island situated in the Mediterranean at the 22^th of august. I grew up in Managua, Nicaragua and I am now a student in high-school.

I am the second of two children. My father, Frank Pineda, is a Nicaraguen and my mother, Florence Jaugey, is French. I obtained both citizenships and Spanish and French are my mother-tongues. I am already studying English and Italian as I would like to travel in future.

Sin título. Camila Pineda Jaugey.I was inspired by my family and the artists who are amongst them:my parents, both cineastes,my grandfather a painter,and my grandmother being a very exact and studious person.

Thanks to them, in an unconscious manner, I learned to appreciate the importance of details to understand the psychology of color and light.

I am very interested in photography and my desire is to study this career. In my pictures I express what I feel, what I conceal, at what I look, the beauty and its unperfection, the reality of the world in that we live, the details, the bodies, the contrasts.

Photography creates a fixed image, it is the art of fixing the route of light, it is a moment, a single movement in time, imposible to live another time.
