The foundation Casa de los Tres Mundos is a unique cultural center which visibly enriches the cultural life of Nicaragua and Central America. In the various workshops and classes, such as painting, music, dance and mime, which are open for all, particularly for fringe groups, the students discover their creativity and the pleasure so desperately needed in one of the poorest countries of the world. Above all, however, the experiences the students can have here help broaden their minds and offer them alternatives to drugs, crime and poverty, shaping them into independent people who are able to take charge of their lives.

Due to its cross-cultural activities, the foundation also promotes intercultural exchange and is a model institution for integration. During the last decades the European countries, once being enemies, have reached a state of integration and friendship. The countries of Central America are just beginning to head this way. Only by cultural exchange and mutual understanding can people overcome prejudice, xenophobia and hostility, to discover their common roots and develop respect for their differences.

International festivals for example, or a jointly organized trade, film or book-fair, are examples of events that support reconciliation and a common identity for the people of Central America. To continue our work, we need your help! Your financial support and donations in kind are indispensable for our various cultural and educational programs, and the rural development project in Malacatoya.
